Born in Istanbul and based in London, I am a director, writer, creative producer and actor working across film, television, theatre and digital storytelling.
I develop stories from first idea and script through production, performance and screen, bringing together writing, directing, creative development and hands-on production.
I am equally drawn to the technical side of storytelling. I enjoy working with cameras, lighting, sound, editing and production technology, and I’m particularly interested in how emerging tools such as virtual production, motion capture and visual effects can expand the possibilities of storytelling. For me, technology is there to serve the story — the human connection always comes first.
My work is driven by curiosity about people, cultures and the different ways we experience the world. I have worked, studied, performed and travelled across different creative environments, always interested in what happens when a story allows us to see life through someone else’s eyes.
I believe storytelling matters because perspective matters. As technology changes the way we create and communicate, it is still our lived experiences — our humour, contradictions, memories and imagination — that make stories human and keep us connected.
The Dreams FactorYY, ,started as the initial step to create a platform for artists , researchers, technical , medical experts, physicians worldwide to share and bring their creative visions to life, through our streaming channels, and in person events. It is an initiative to create a community discuss and feel empowered by the latest technological innovations and beyond..
